Position: Senior Civil Designer Location: Oklahoma City, OKJob Id: 4892 # of Openings: 1 Senior Civil Designer – Oklahoma City, OK Halff has an immediate opening for a Senior Civil Designer in our Transportation/Public Works Engineering group in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will assist in the planning and design of transportation projects and a variety of civil engineering projects for both private and public sector clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has specific experience with Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, municipal, and county design in Oklahoma. Learn about Halff and our 75th Anniversary What you will do: Work as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE.Oversight of CAD Operators, Technicians and Interns performing design and production work using CAD standards and procedures to create an effective team.Create and modify detailed drawings and designs for engineering projects using CADD software.Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.Verify the accuracy of drawings and designs, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of all drawings and related documents.Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure they are free from errors and comply with project standards.Provide technical support and assistance to engineering teams and other stakeholders as needed.Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.Review project design documents prepared by engineering specialists and ensure redlines are incorporated into document draftsActively participate in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve project qualitySupport multiple projects when needed and help ensure timely completion of assignments What you will need: At least 7 to 10 years of experience as a Civil Engineering DesignerCivil Design experience in Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, municipal, and county design projectsExperience in Bentley ORD is requiredAbility to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a teamKnowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D in addition to Bentley products adds valueSolid relationship and team building skills The Halff Transportation Advantage Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets.Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably.Collaborative approach to transportation projects.
